Course description - AR70

The course consists of 4 stages.

Stage I MTB
Length approximately 38 km. Elevation gain approximately 450 m. 7 control points; given order.
The route goes through mostly open, hilly terrain; it mainly follows asphalt roads with low traffic.
Time of the fastest team: 2 hours.
Navigation is quite easy.

Stage II trekking
Length approximately 12 km, elevation gain approximately 500 m. 7 control points; free order.
The route goes through forested, mountainous terrain; it follows paths or goes cross-country through the forest.
Special task – descent down a steep, fixed-rope slope and a rappel.
Time of the fastest team: 3,5 hours.
Navigation is quite difficult.

Stage III MTB
Length approximately 21 km. Elevation gain approximately 450 m. 5 control points; given order.
The route goes through forested or open, hilly terrain; it follows dirt and asphalt roads with low traffic.
Navigation task.
Time of the fastest team: 1,5 hours.
Navigation fairly easy.

Etap IV trekking
Length approximately 9 km. Elevation gain approximately 300 m. 6 control points; free order.
The route goes through forested, mountainous terrain; it follows paths or through the forest.
Time of the fastest team: 2,5 hours..
Navigation fairly difficult. LIDAR.

Total: 80 km, 1700 m of elevation gain, 25 control points, time of the fastest team: 9.5 hours.

Teams return to the base after each stage.
