Mandatory gear

The mandatory equipment list has been adjusted to the specifics of the race. The description of equipment items is in accordance with the Mandatory Equipment List – ARWS Events version 1.8 dated 24th of January 2024 (https://arworldseries.com/about/resources).
 
All disciplines:

• official race BIB (provided by organizer) – 1 x per competitor
• start number – 2 x per competitor (the first one on the bike, the second one on the backpack; provided by organizer)
• whistle – 1 x per competitor
• headlamp with the required batteries for each stage – 1 x per competitor
• shell layer top – 1 x per competitor
• shell layer bottom – 1 x per competitor
• mid layer top – 1 x per competitor
• baselayer top – 1 x per competitor
• waterproof pants – 1 x per competitor
• leggins or shorts with long socks - 1 x per competitor
• beanie or buff – 1 x per competitor
• magnetic compass – 2 x per team
• course information and maps (provided by organizer) – 1 x per team
• set of punch cards (provided by organizer) – 1 x per team
• survival blanket – 1 x per competitor
• first aid kid (contents specified separately) – 1 x per team
• waterproof matches, gas lighter or flint and steel – 1 x per team
• knife – 1 x per team
• cell phone with fully charged battery and app RATUNEK (available at Google Play and AppStore); should be turned off; for emergency use only – 1 x per team
• GPS tracker turned on all the time (provided by organizer) – 1 x per team
• digital camera – 1 x per team
• marker – 1 x per team

Mountain bike stages:

• mountain bike – 1 x per competitor
• helmet – 1 x per competitor
• front light white (not the headlamp) – 1 x per competitor
• rear light red – 1 x competitor
• cycle repair kit, extra tube for each bicycle, bicycle pump – 1 x per team
• bike lock – 1 x per team
• bike box – 1 x per competitor

  Paddling:

• kayak (provided by organizer) – 2 x per team
• paddle (provided by organizer) – 1 x per competitor
• lifejacket (provided by organizer) – 1 x per competitor
• whistle attached to the lifejacket – 1 x per competitor

  Climbing:

• climbing harness – 1 x per competitor
• helmet (could be bike helmet) – 1 x per competitor
• belay device – 1 x per competitor
• locking carabiner – 3 x per competitor
• loop min. 60cm – 3 x per competitor
• via ferrata set – 1 x per competitor

  First aid kit equipment:

• pressure bandage – 2 pieces
• triangular bandage – 1 piece
• wound dressing – 4 pieces
• antihistamine – 4 doses
• anti-diarrhoeal – 4 doses
• medical gloves – 1 piece
• tweezers – 1 piece
