RAJD BESKIDY 2025

Short course - Europe series

Course description - AR120

The Rajd Beskidy AR120 course is an adventure race with a mountainous character. The route passes through Poland and the Czech Republic.

In order to complete the entire route, participants must demonstrate a high level of physical and mental endurance, as well as teamwork skills. They must also possess navigation skills and technical skills in climbing and mountain biking.

The organizer plans for the race to consist of five stages: three trekking and two biking. Additionally, the organizer has planned rock climbing on routes rated III-IV UIAA, as well as special navigational tasks.

The first stage is a short run around the HQ.

The second stage is an MTB ride of over 60 km, where teams will enter real mountainous terrain. In addition to technical skills, they must demonstrate good navigation abilities, as part of the course is mapped using an orienteering map. They will also face a downhill section, where teams can choose the difficulty level of the route.

The third stage is trekking. Although this stage is not very long - measuring about 11 km, it is certainly not an easy one, as navigation will be based on a LIDAR map.

The fourth stage is an MTB ride on excellent forest roads and trails, with a surprise at the end.

The final, fifth stage is trekking. Here, competitors will face climbing as well as a rather difficult navigation section, partially based on a satellite image.

All the stages end in the same location – at the race base, which will significantly simplify logistics for competitors. They will have access to their belongings, and there will be no need for bike boxes.

Teams will receive a detailed and waterproof map at a scale of 1:25,000.

The total distance is approximately 120 km, with an elevation gain of around 3,500 meters.
