International airports Kraków and Katowice are approximately a one-hour drive away. The organizer can provide transfers (paid additionally) for athletes before and after the competition. The schedule can be adjusted to the athletes.
Poland is a member of the European Union and the Schengen Area. Citizens of other Schengen countries don’t need to present any documents when crossing the border, however, the organizer recommends carrying ID or passport. Additionally, temporary border controls may be introduced, for example, due to illegal immigration.
Citizens of other countries should check what documents are required for them to cross the borders of Poland. The organizer recommends contacting the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland or the relevant local consulates or embassies of Poland for information regarding this matter.
The traffic rules in Poland do not differ significantly from those commonly applied in other European Union countries.
In Poland, the vast majority of roads are toll-free. There are only a few toll sections on highways, and the toll can be paid at the beginning of the respective section.
In Poland, the currency is the Polish Zloty (PLN). 1 EUR is approximately equal to 4.30 PLN.
You cannot use other currencies for payments in both countries.
Poland have a dense network of ATMs, as well as banks and currency exchange offices where you can exchange currencies.
Card payments are accepted almost everywhere. However, it’s a good idea to have some small amounts of cash on hand.
